Watercolor Dot Doodles

Here is a set of 15 fun drawing activitiies with watercolor dots.  These are great activities to give to your budding artists to nurture their critical thinking skills and creativity. Get them playing with drawing tools and working on free flowing movements in these drawing exercises.

MATERIALS

• ink or paint
• paper of any size, texture or weight
• brush, preferably ones with thicker bristols to hold in or paint
• drawing tools - pen, pencils, markers, or sharpies...etc

STEPS

1. Dip brush in ink or paint. Making sure to soak the brush.
2. Hold wetted brush over paper and wait for ink or paint to drip off of brush and onto paper.
3. A blot or splatter should be formed.
4. Wait for ink or paint to dry.
5. Grab drawing tools to create drawings from the ink blots or splatters.
