INSPIRATION
Doodle Thinks is a name inspired by my affection for drawing, my curiosity for learning, and a delightful quote from one of my favorite childhood authors, Dr. Seuss. The quote states, "Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the thinks you can think up if only you try!" When I hear that children are creating art with one of my resources and having fun, I'm excited and honored to play a part in their artistic journey no matter where they are at in their artistic abilities.
OBJECTIVE
I believe children are intuitively creative and with the right tools, we will be able to encourage them to create art with excitement and to learn with curiosity. My hope for your learners is that they will continue to create art and expand on their artistic "thinks" long after they complete their schooling years and, most importantly, that they continue to enjoy the creative process.
METHOD
Doodle Thinks resources are simply structured so that they are easy for parents and educators to integrate to their learning day. My approach to creating Doodle Thinks resources comes from my experiences as an artist and homeschooling mom, who tries to keep things simple. This approach is conveyed through my visually appealing, little to no-prep, and engaging resources that will not intimidate your most reluctant learners, but will inspire them to jump right in and create art. Your learners will have fun creating and learning through use of drawing prompts, projects, activities, crafts and printables.
