My children enjoy reading independently and enjoy comics and humorous books and I wanted to expose them to classical and beautiful stories by read a loud together. I think it's very important to allow our children to choose their own books to read as I'm sure this will help them enjoy reading. Please share any of your favorite living books by commenting below! There's a quote by artist, David Hockney, that says, "The urge to draw must be deep within us because children love to do it" that made me think of my children's artistic curiosity. I couldn't agree more with this quote because my children, who are both different in their artistic journey, each show creativity and excitement when they are given a drawing resource or encouraged to draw something.

Have fun and enjoy pumpkins, pumpkin spice and everything nice! Hi There! I wanted to share the many benefits of doodling and why it is important to encourage children to doodle. My daughter loves to doodle and this is why I wanted to write this post. Here are the 5 benefits (there are many more but I wanted to list my personal top 5):
I hope that you are encourage to grab a pencil and paper and doodle yourself. Doodling is relaxing as there is no pressure to create any master pieces. It is an organic way of creating art and the exciting thing is that it is a stepping stone to an expanded idea. ![]() Hi Everyone! It has been awhile since my latest post. I have been taking this summer to really create products and I am having a blast. I truly enjoy creating resources that encourages drawing and art. It has been a joy. This month has been my best month in producing resources as well as sales at my TPT shop. Who would've thought that this is where my art endeavor took me! I homeschool my children and we started the school year in the beginning of August. I wanted a head start for us to catch up and review some of last year's curriculum. My goal for this school year is to start incorporating some of my own art resources in our learning as I think they are old enough. I encourage each of you to find ways to add art to all subjects as I think children naturally gravitate to creating art. It engages them and truly build up their confidence. With this said check out my Back to School Artist Pack and have a blessed year!
Summer is always fun when drawing is involved. Whether at the beach, in class before summer break or in the backyard of one's home. Students will have fun with this roll and draw game sheet of a water landscape. They will learn perspective while having fun. Your inspiring artists can spend hours creating many unique drawings with this fun activity. Use it for the summer season or anytime throughout the year. This is a no-prep and interactive drawing game that is simple to use and will result in one of a kind drawings. Just grab a dice, blank paper, pencil and coloring tools and simply engage your students with this self-directed drawing activity. You can get the whole class involved by following the Change It Up worksheet and dictating elements that students can add to their drawing. Then color!
