I thought it would be fun to share our family's book list of living books that we have read and ones that are currently reading together. Living books are wonderful novels that bring a topic to life with fascinating characters and subjects and peek the curiosity of the reader. I'll update this post with each new book that we start or that we are adding to our home library. My children enjoy reading independently and enjoy comics and humorous books and I wanted to expose them to classical and beautiful stories by read a loud together. I think it's very important to allow our children to choose their own books to read as I'm sure this will help them enjoy reading. Please share any of your favorite living books by commenting below! There's a quote by artist, David Hockney, that says, "The urge to draw must be deep within us because children love to do it" that made me think of my children's artistic curiosity. I couldn't agree more with this quote because my children, who are both different in their artistic journey, each show creativity and excitement when they are given a drawing resource or encouraged to draw something.
