Mandala art is defined as "a complex abstract design that is usually circular in form. Mandala is a Sanskrit word that means circle (ref. Art-Is-Fun). This style of art is a great way to introduce some art concepts such as lines, shapes, patterns, positive and negative space and color. Below is an example of what they actually look like.
